Scanned Seismic and Sidescan Sections |
JPEG2000 |
An
ongoing effort to scan and convert all of GSC’s
analog marine survey field records ( seismic, sidescan
and sounder ) to digital format., These records
have been scanned at 300 dpi and were converted into JPEG2000 format. Install
the application QCJP2 to
convert these sections into BMP files at reduced scale or to adjust tonal
balance in JP2 files. Files are
located in directories referenced by the
expedition name To view
images, download the free IE/Firefox plugin at : http://www.lizardtech.com/download/dl_options.php?page=plugins |
At the
moment, these are geospatially unregistered images. These files can be converted into rectified SEGY files using RegJP2000 |
